DIY Kind Bar
These protein bars are by far one of my favorites. I don’t know if you have ever had one, but if not, you are missing out. They are the perfect blend of crunch and taste. In these bars you can find heart healthy mixed nuts like almonds, brazil nuts, peanuts and walnuts, dried apricots and raisins. There has been some controversy regarding a few of their bars, being that they contain coconut and nuts, and have a higher fat count, but if you make your own, you can easily reduce the amount you put in them.
This recipe is for making Dark Chocolate & Sea Salt
So, here’s what you will need:
- 1/2 cup Puffed Millet
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 3/4 cup peanuts
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 1 cup dark chocolate
- 1 tbs flaxseed meal
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup brown rice syrup
- 3/4 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
